The 2025 Saint Patrick’s Day Parade is dedicated to the memory of Janet O’Sullivan. Born in Lennoxtown, Scotland she came to Buffalo at the age of 21. She married Patrick O’Sullivan and raised her family in South Buffalo. Buffalo, NY — Buffalo Mayor Christopher P. Scanlon, in collaboration with the United Irish American Association (UIAA) and the Valley Community Association, kicked off St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in the City of Buffalo by hosting the Annual Irish Flag-raising Ceremony in Niagara Square on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
