The Bump Girl scene occurred in How I Met Your Mother season 3, episode 12. The episode, titled "No Tomorrow," took place on St. Patrick's Day. Ted (Josh Radnor) originally intended on ignoring the festivities and decided to take part in a game night with Marshall (Jason Segel) and Lily (Alyson Hannigan). The Bump Girl/St. Patrick’s Day/”No Tomorrow” Girl Theory: DISPROVED. In the aforementioned “No Tomorrow” (S3E12), there is an interesting scene set inside the bar. Ted bumps into an attractive dark-haired girl, and they both part ways after a brief moment of acknowledgement. The Yellow Umbrella is an object originally owned by The Mother, which comes into the possession of Ted after she leaves it at a party. It is often used to represent her since she remains faceless. Its significance was first mentioned during Wait For It. The story of the Yellow Umbrella begins in the episode No Tomorrow . It was St. Patrick's Day and Barney and Ted went to a party, the mother Ted went to a St. Patrick's Day party at a club with Barney (and notably encountered the Bump Girl) and ended up leaving his phone there. He returned the next morning to retrieve his phone but it was raining, so he grabbed a forgotten yellow umbrella in the club. That umbrella was left there by Tracy who also attended the party. Ted joins Barney in St. Patrick's Day festivities where he is pleased to find that doing bad things can be quite rewarding. Robin and Marshall don't know how to tell Lily something is wrong with the new apartment. Ted, Marshall and Lily decide to spend Saint Patrick's Day holding a board game night at Marshall and Lily's new apartment, rather than drinking green beer with a green-suited Barney I suddenly realized that Ted's "do bad things, good things happen" theory was wrong in a big way. If Ted hadnt act like a total douch that night to test that theory, He might've met Tracy 5 years earlier. Five more years with Tracy was hell to pay of a price for Ted Mosby. Later in the episode Ted is going up to Barney in a crowded club and bumps into a woman he apologizes and she says that's ok. Is that girl suppose to be his wife?
