The 57th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade is back in downtown Minneapolis on March 17, 2025, beginning at 6 PM. The parade will start at 6th St and Nicollet Mall and will conclude at 12th St and Nicollet Mall. Wear your green and get ready for some St. Patrick's Day fun! Come join in on this parade whether as an onlooker or a participant! The parade route will be from Nicollet Ave and 6th St to Nicollet Ave and 12th St! The 2025 parade route is expected to be the same as last year, starting at Rice Park (5th St & Market St) and ending near Mears Park (5th St & Sibley St), traveling along 5th Street. The Irish government didn’t recognize St. Patrick’s Day as a public holiday until 1903, and the first parade in Dublin wasn’t held until 1931. Even pubs remained closed on March 17 until 1961.
