Wall Street This is the 78th year that Shamrock has gone all out for St. Patrick's Day. There's a lot of history to the celebration, and it has even earned the distinction of being the official St. Patrick's Day celebration for the state of Texas. Plan to spend plenty of time in Shamrock starting March 14th. Line Up For St. Patrick's Day In Shamrock, Texas Shamrock’s 78th Annual St. Patrick’s Celebration, The Official St. Patrick’s Day Celebration for the State of Texas, will kick off Friday, March 14th with three days full of St. Patrick’s events! Family-friendly and free to the public! Includes the 78th Annual St. Patrick's Parade at 10:30am on Saturday, March 15th. Shamrock Thrives in '25: Annual popular festival to draw The free festival includes live music, kids activities (face painting and bounce houses), food trucks and beer. Lots and lots of beer (wine and cocktails will also be available). The Church Hill Irish Festival — Richmond's classy St. Paddy's celebration — is Saturday and Sunday, 10am-6pm, on East Broad and 25th in Church Hill. You can also bounce around to the "Almost St. Patrick's Day" bar crawl that starts at Poe's Pub in Shockoe, hits Rosie Connolly's Pub and has food stops at La Bodega. 4-9pm. $15. Sunday, March 16. The Oddities Expo at the Greater Richmond Convention Center is a festival self-described as "a peculiar paradise where weird thrives." 11am-7pm. The Shamrock the Block festival returns to Richmond on Saturday, March 15, the weekend before St. Patrick's Day. The time has come to paint the streets green, Richmond. Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with Shamrock the Block or the Irish Festival in Church Hill. Or catch the racing action The Church Hill Irish Festival marks 30 years of celebrating St. Patrick’s Day on the Hill with two days of music, Irish food, Irish dancing, bagpipes, socializing and a children’s play area. Featuring live music, a bevy of beers and more than enough food to go around, the free festival runs from noon to 6 p.m. along Leigh Street between BTM Movieland at Boulevard Square and the Bon Secours Training Center.
