St. Patrick's Day Parade in Savannah! Savannah’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade is one of the largest in America, right behind New York City and Chicago. Comprised of Irish heritage, wonderful marching bands, traditional dancers, and elaborate floats, people come to Savannah from all over the world to participate in our local parade! The St. Patrick’s Day Parade, hosted on March 17, 2025, is what many consider to be the quintessential Savannah St. Patrick’s Day experience. Featuring area service members, and marching bands from all over the United States, the parade line-up is jam-packed with delightful entertainment. The Irish Catholic community in Savannah have and continue to celebrate the feast of St. Patrick, the Patron Saint of Ireland since 1824. This year, at 8:00am on March 17th, we begin the day by attending Mass at the Basilica Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. All are welcome to attend. Savannah's St. Patrick's Day celebration is a lively affair filled with Irish traditions, lively tunes, excitement, and plenty of emerald hues.
