It seems as if the entire city is on the street with picnic baskets, umbrellas, and their recreational vehicles – enjoying one of the biggest street parties of the year! Floats, marching bands, and revelers dressed in green parade up Jackson Avenue, turning onto St. Charles Avenue, Louisiana Avenue, and back onto Magazine Street. The route is subject to change. Thunderstorms could develop in the morning, forecasters say, and become severe into the evening. They'll get a better idea about timing in the next 24 hours. The Krewe of Argus parade, which was canceled due to bad weather on Mardi Gras Day, will roll at 10am Sunday ahead of the Old Metairie parade.
