The consideration of your entry does not in any way constitute acceptance of your entry. Decisions of the committee are final. Suggested early entry donations are $30 for family and non-profit entries and $150 for commercial entries and car club entries. St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The Lawrence St. Patrick’s Day Parade began in 1988 while a few friends of Irish heritage sat in a local pub enjoying a Join us for the 38th Annual Lawrence St. Patrick's Day Parade! Come rain or shine to watch for your favorite floats parading down Mass Street and through North Lawrence. Our parade is family-friendly and free and open to the public. Our other candidates also participate in the parade as part of the Royal Our Parade Season of Events. In Lawrence, St. Patrick's Day is more than a day, it is a season of events held to raise money for Douglas County area children's charities.
