The 264th New York City Saint Patrick’s Day Parade will take place along Fifth Avenue in Manhattan on Monday, March 17, 2025. The New York City Saint Patrick’s Day Parade™ is the oldest and largest St. Patrick’s Day Parade in the world. The first parade was held on March 17, 1762 — fourteen years before the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The NYC St. Patrick’s Day Parade is usually held on March 17th. However, if the 17th falls on a Sunday, then the Parade is held on Saturday, March 16th in order to observe the Sunday Sabbath. At what time does the Parade start and end? The NYC St. Patrick’s Day Parade is one of New York City’s greatest traditions. The first parade was on March 17, 1762 — fourteen years before the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence . The 262 New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be broadcast live on Friday, March 17th, at 11 AM on NBC 4 New York. This is the only event on the Parade calendar that offers an opportunity to honor both the Aides to the Grand Marshal and the Grand Marshal, Michael A. Benn for the historic 264th NYC St Patrick’s Day Parade. THE ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE PARTICIPANTS . 1. All units must have two (2) flags. Irish & American flags or no flags at all. NO EXCEPTIONS! An American flag on the right and an Irish flag on the left. 2. A minimum of eight (8) abreast. Ten (10) if room is available. A unit with 250+ members MUST march 10 abreast. 3. NYC ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE PARTICIPANTS 1. All units must have two (2) flags. Irish & American flags or no flags at all. NO EXCEPTIONS! An American flag on the right and an Irish flag on the left. 2.
