St. Patrick's Day Parade in Savannah! Savannah’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade is one of the largest in America, right behind New York City and Chicago. Comprised of Irish heritage, wonderful marching bands, traditional dancers, and elaborate floats, people come to Savannah from all over the world to participate in our local parade! The St. Patrick’s Day Parade, hosted on March 17, 2025, is what many consider to be the quintessential Savannah St. Patrick’s Day experience. Featuring area service members, and marching bands from all over the United States, the parade line-up is jam-packed with delightful entertainment. There is no longer a permitted festival. This decision was made in 2021 by the Mayor and Council in an effort to get back to the family atmosphere of the St. Patrick's Day parade. We do however expect a very busy weekend in our social and nightlife districts, so please party responsibly. Savannah's St. Patrick's Day celebration is a lively affair filled with Irish traditions, lively tunes, excitement, and plenty of emerald hues.
