Hi all! Visiting Dublin for the first time on St. Patricks day this year. There’s two of us, we’ll be there from the 17th-21st. Any recommendations on the day of? Fun things to do, good spot to see the parade, etc. Any recommendations for the following days would also be appreciated! A bit overwhelmed by all the different tour options. We're all very young 20's college students and were wondering which city would be best to spend the weekend. You are going to miss St, Patrick's Day if you are only arriving in at 21:20. St. Patrick's night is one of the worst nights of the year to be in the city centre. Some people have been drinking all day, so by the time you get to the evening, things are going downhill. By the time you arrive, they'll be worse. Belfast is fantastic in the city for St Patricks, some eggs will ruin the fun but overall its a fantastic day out, everywhere from my experience, the bars, the cafes etc all have a great atmosphere.Obviously with all cities, the bars WILL be packed, so, depending on where you go, id get a carryout and go somewhere with your mates. As others are saying, the parade is OK and there can be a bit of fun early in the day, but as time progresses, things go downhill.
