The St. Patrick’s Day Parade began in 1955 The first St. Patrick’s Day Parade was held in Bay City March 17, 1955. That means this year will be the 70 th anniversary of this special event. The 2022 Bay Area Runners Club St. Patrick’s Day Races presented by Jolt Credit Union will take place Sunday, March 20! The 2022 event will be limited to 4,000 total participants with 2,900 combined registration spots available for the 8K Run, 5K Run and 5K Run events. Join the thousands of runners and walkers in 8k and 5k running events at the Bay Area Runners Club Bay City St. Patrick's Day Races presented by Jolt Credit Union.
