A carnival parade will be the centre of celebrations in Newry on Monday 17 March. Led by St Patrick himself, the parade will offer a feast for eyes and ears as swirling dancers, community floats and costumed characters entertain the crowds. An array of immersive entertainment will also be on offer in a number of locations within the City Centre from 12pm-4pm, with on-street performances St. Patrick’s Day events at Newry and Mourne Museum. 10am until 11am there will be a Jumping Clay arts and crafts workshop. This will involve the children making their own lucky leprechaun just in time for St. Patrick ’s Day. An adult must accompany children and numbers are limited, so pre booking of places is essential.
