EMPORIA, Kan. (WIBW) - Emporia is gearing up for its annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The event will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 15, with the route running along Commercial Street between Emporia’s annual St. Patrick’s activities are coming Saturday, and there will be a special Common Consumption Area involving parts of downtown. The Emporia Main Street CCA will be in effect for all the St Patrick’s events, including the annual parade, activities at Town Royal and the pub crawl. Main Street’s CCA involves: The annual St. Patrick’s Day parade, hosted by the Emporia St. Patrick’s Day committee, will take place Saturday, March 15th starting at 1:00 pm. The parade will begin at 4th Avenue and proceed up Commercial Street to 12th Avenue. Emporia’s St. Patrick’s Day parade will begin at 1 p.m. March 15 at Fourth Avenue and Commercial Street.
